The Houston Museum’s 48th Annual

Antique Show and Sale & Appraisal Fair

The Houston Museum’s biggest fundraising event of the year is seeing some big changes in 2022. The weekend of Feb. 25-27 marks our 48th annual Antiques Show. This year, for the first time, the event will be held at the historic Read House Hotel in downtown Chattanooga, Tenn at 107 W M.L.K. Blvd. Show hours are Friday and Saturday, 10-6, Sunday 12-4, and admission is $10 for all three days of the event. Masks are recommended, but are not required.

The show will also once again hold an Appraisal Fair on the 25th by Clements Auctions, and registration is required. Of special interest will be on site glass and ceramic repair performed by Angela Boudreaux of Antique Restoration Studio of Atlanta. Guests with objects to repair that can be done on site will be available to pick up the last day of the show. More extensive repairs that can’t be performed on site will be evaluated and taken to the studio for repair.

This long-running event benefits the Houston Museum. The Houston Museum in Chattanooga’s Bluff View Arts District is a small but stunning gem in the city’s arts crown. It was created with the astounding collection of Anna Safley Houston, who during her lifetime amassed more than 15,000 antique pitchers and thousands of other glassware pieces and antiques, along with one of the largest collections of Tennessee furniture. The Victorian house on High Street housing the museum has become a national mecca for antique lovers and glass collectors.
