Sweet Tea & Shopping’s Fall Frenzy

Finally, cool mornings and a brisk breeze in the air. It’s almost fall in Tennessee! One of the most beautiful times of year is almost upon us, and Julia Proctor has been planning an event to celebrate. Fall Frenzy is a family event held out at Bottom View Farm in Portland, Tenn., located about 30 miles north of Nashville.

“Sweet Tea & Shopping” is a catchy name that grabs the attention of people, but it’s also the mission of Julia Proctor: she serves refreshments for the shopping guests, because in this part of the country, nothing says…”Welcome & Come on in” like a glass of sweet tea. Julia and her team will serve sweet tea and some treat the day of the sale, it’s always a hit. The Grounds at Bottom View Farms are unique and an experience you must see. There are multiple barns that are full of unique vendors, tractors, farm animals and stuff for kids to run wild around. They encourage guests to explore the farm – picnic or fish by the lake, hike through the woods, take a ride on the seven-tower zipline, or rest for a few minutes while enjoying the grounds in the horse-drawn carriage. It is a perfect setting for a barn sale market!

With something for everyone, you’ll find shopping, entertainment, food, music and good times for all. If you like to shop, you will find original art by talented local artists, handcrafted artisan creations, jewelry, soaps, antiques, junk-tiques, rusty + chippy picker finds, collectibles and vintage goods from all eras. If you love music, there will be live entertainment Friday night and Saturday throughout the day. Of course, what would be a good ole-fashioned day at the farm without some fresh, home-cooked food? There will be food trucks and The Inside Scoop at Bottom View Farms serves sandwiches, homemade ice cream, fresh baked goods and sells farm fresh goods as well.

Saturday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday Night Sneak Peak Admission is $8 and valid for Friday & Saturday, and Saturday General Admission is $5. The Fall Frenzy is located at The Grounds At Bottom View
