Southern Kentucky Flea Market

If you’re in the mood for some good ole-fashioned treasure hunting, then head to Southern Kentucky Flea Market, located at 52 Cypress Lane Guthrie, KY 42234. Guthrie is on the border of Kentucky and Teneneesee and is only a short 20 minute drive from Clarksville, Tenn.

The flea market was started 30 years ago by Jimmy Covington. It is now run by his son and daughter-in-law Jamison and Dai, who took over four years ago after Jimmy retired. Dai loves to pick, buy and sell at the flea market and her focus is primitives, farmhouse and vintage. Aside from running the flea market and picking and selling, Jamison and Dai are talented musicians who have spent years touring, playing shows, making records and working out of their own studio. They contribute music to many well-known television shows. The couple met in Arizona, moved to Los Angeles to start a band, and then traveled back across the country to settle down in Guthrie and carve out the life they love.

Inside the flea market, you’ll find over 100 booths, all indoors. The merchandise is almost entirely vintage, antique and usable second hand. You never know what you will find in each booth. There are many long time vendors who have been with the business for over 10 years… some even since the beginning! The flea market is only open Friday-Sunday from 10-5:30. So come fulfill your “junkin’ addiction” at Southern Kentucky Flea Market.
