Shop, Dine & Enjoy Music at Burlap & Board

Fall is in the air and it’s the best time of year for new excursions filled with treasure hunts, sight seeing, trying new cafes and finding outdoor music to sooth the soul. We have the perfect place where you can do all these and more! Burlap & Board Antiques & More is nestled in the perfect setting, right across from Coolidge Park in Downtown Chattanooga, Tenn. After parking with a view at Coolidge Park, it’s time for a relaxing walk along the Tennessee River and Walnut Street Bridge, and an exploration of the restored antique Dentzel Carousel. Then you’ll be ready to browse, dine and be entertained just steps away in the quaint Burlap & Board Antiques & More. Burlap & Board is located at 191 River Street in a rustic lodge like store, right across from the park and offers that perfect atmosphere for unwinding and enjoying the rest of the day. They have approximately 20 shoppes within their cozy shop, offering you a wonderful shopping experience that will have you returning time and again.

The shoppes inside Burlap & Board’s are a treasure hunters dream, with lots of unusual, attractive and hard-to-find selections of antiques and artisan lines including The Beard Line, Adkins Books, Elmo’s Records, Billy Hargiss Photography, Justin Howard’s Horseshoe Art, Handmade Glass Bead Art by Marjorie Langston, Safronia Collection, and Bella Craie Line of paint and brushes, to name a few. They’re known as Chattanooga’s Premier Purveyor of antiques, artisans lines and collectibles. They focus on bringing local and American-made craftsmanship, and providing excellent service to their customers.

You’ll find amazing selections from French Country to Mid Century Modern, and lots of vintage accessories, records and collectibles. There’s a special Christmas booth that stays filled with new and vintage Christmas ornaments and decorations throughout the year. Add to that some hard-to-find primitives, select gifts and custom made jewelry and there’s something for everyone. You can also sign up for the Bella Craie furniture painting classes with Bella Craie Chalk Like Paint.

When you think you’ve shopped till you’re going to drop, you can relax and have lunch or dinner at the Café on the Park, located inside Burlap & Board. This café makes the best panini “sammichs,” salads and desserts, and its worth the drive to dine with them. You can even book them to cater your next event. If it’s a weekend, they’d love for you to sit a spell outside and hum to some familiar lyrics performed live by Joel Clyde, with other groups scheduled throughout fall.

You’ll want to return often, and capture the beauty of the sunset at Coolidge Park or from Walnut Street Bridge. The beauty of Burlap & Board’s surroundings will entice you to return to shop with them throughout each season. They are open seven days a week with hours Mon-Fri 11 to 8, Sat. 10-8 and Sunday 11-5.
