Scott Antique Market is Like a Box of Chocolates

Scott Antique Market is like a box of chocolates… you never know EVERYTHING you’re going to see, but you can count on it all being great! Customers look forward to visiting and buying from long-time favorite dealers, as well as anticipate new dealers who will be at the show.

Participating in over 15 years of Scott’s antique shows, Ken Robertson is a trusted crystal restoration dealer who has developed a relationship with many repeat customers. As a young boy, Ken enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and building models. When he married into a family restoration business that began in 1946, curiosity prompted him to learn the craft. Now, 37 years later, he restores treasures for VERY thankful people!

In his family business, all types of restoration services are offered, including but not limited to, porcelain, paintings and chandelier rewiring and installation. Also included is restoration on Lalique, Baccarat, Steuben, Waterford, Lladro, Boehm, and others. Besides seeing him at Scott Antique Market, Ken can be contacted at Krob13@aol.com or 404-925-7056.

Curtis and Donna Dilworth, who have known each other since they were 12, are regular Scott Antique dealers. They own Dilworth Antique Lighting, whose business is being a distributor for several lighting companies. They also carry lamp shades, French mirrors, unique pieces of furniture and tabletop accessories. Their passion is restoring antique lighting and can customize fixtures by adding crystal or changing a finish. Their 4,000-square-foot warehouse in Charlotte, N.C. is also a place to buy a treasure, or have your light fixture repaired to UL certified standards. They are open to the public and the trade, and can be contacted @ www.dilworthantiquelighting.com, dilant2@bellsouth.net, and 704-376-5799 when not at the Scott Antique Show.

The “SURPRISE” dealer, who set up next to my vintage costume jewelry booth, was 92-year-old “Dutch” Van Kirk, navigator of the Enola Gay plane in WWII, that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. The pilot’s wife was also present. He was there for a book signing, which included Robert Krauss’s book on the 509th Composite Group. FASCINATING reading! For a schedule of Dutch’s appearances or book information, go to www.the509thremembered.com.
