Indian Creek Antiques Opens

We are a husband and wife team that started collecting antiques and primitives when we hit our 40s. I’ve always collected comic books, but my wife didn’t share that passion. We started hitting yard sales and auctions and finding the little things that reminded us of our childhood, and the addiction set in. We had a booth in Bayou Sarah’s in Dickson for several years, and enjoyed selling our finds as well as meeting new people.

There was a 112-year-old church a mile from our house that closed down 10 or so years ago, and we tried several times to buy the church to start our own antique store. Finally, November last year, we bought our church. We acquired the church register from the late 1890s through the 1970s from my uncle. After researching the register and other sources, we found that my great, great grandfathers on both sides of my family were part of the original church members that built the church in 1905. I guess all things do make a circle.

Come enjoy a ride in the country and visit us at 10618 Indian Creek Road in McEwen, Tenn. We have antiques, architectural salvage and barn wood items. We are located 12 miles from exit 152 (Bucksnort, TN) and 10 miles from Dickson exit 163 on I40. Hours are Thursday-Saturday 10-5, Sunday 1-5. 931-622-2854.
