Harvest Market Highlights Busy Year for Winery

2015 has been a very busy year for the Chessor family and the Grinder’s Switch Winery. A new Nashville location, a pair of big awards, and an annual Harvest Market has kept three generations hopping at the 10-year-old family operation. It started in May when the Grinder’s Switch Winery at Marathon Village opened its doors. The new location became popular very quickly, and just expanded its hours to 7 days a week. In August, the winery  learned that two of its wines won gold and silver at a prestigious international wine competition. However, the family hasn’t had time to slow down and savor these accomplishments. Grapes have to be harvested and the winery’s annual Harvest Market has to be organized. The Harvest Market is a way for Grinder’s Switch Winery to welcome autumn with food, artisan crafts, harvest produce, all displayed on its grounds. This free event is Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Chessor family invites everyone to come out and help them celebrate a very busy and successful 2015.
