Goodlettsville’s 2nd Annual Arts & Antiques Festival

“Imagine Goodlettsville” is partnering with the Goodlettsville Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Goodlettsville and numerous local vendors to present the 2nd Annual Arts & Antiques Festival. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 on Main Street in the aptly named Arts & Antiques District. The event will be held from 10 to 5 and is free and open to the public.

“With such amazing community participation in the festival last year, the obvious decision was to do it again!” David Gillihan, event organizer and Imagine Goodlettsville President said at a recent planning meeting. “I believe this annual event will continue to grow and showcase the great people and businesses of Goodlettsville. Our community is really what it’s all about.”

As the festival’s name suggests, this event will showcase Goodlettsville’s finest arts and antiques and lots of other fun-filled activities throughout the day. Artists on Main will feature a ‘100 for 100 Art Show & Sale’, Goodlettsville antique dealers will hold appraisal shows, and the Goodlettsville Area Chamber of Commerce will present the Goodlettsville Flavorfest: a food court highlighting samples from local restaurants and caterers. Festival-goers will also enjoy live music, an array of shopping opportunities with booth vendors, an antique cars display, and trolley rides up and down Main Street to usher them to their event destination. The 2nd Annual Arts & Antiques Festival will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and the Goodlettsville Help Center.

While planning is in full swing, the committee is currently seeking sponsors, volunteers and vendors. For more information on any of these opportunities, contact David Gillihan at 615-500-5272. For more information on Imagine Goodlettsville, visit www.imaginegoodlettsville.org.
