goodlettsvilleIf you are looking for a full day of antiquing in the Middle Tennessee area, head to Goodlettsville, just north of Nashville. The Goodlettsville Antique District is located just off I-65, Exit 97, with three large malls, a private store, and a quilt shop.

Arriving on Main Street, Rare Bird Antique Mall is just down the street on your left. They are celebrating 20 years in business, and their motto is “Refreshingly Different”. They have an antique “general store” in the front of the mall, and then section after section of dealer offerings. There’s a large selection of gas and automobile collectibles, loads of showcase smalls, hand-lettered signs, jewelry, vintage clothing and accessories, and a bit of everything.

Leaving Rare Bird, go back to the right and up the hill just a bit to Tara’s. Tara’s Antique Mall has been in business for over 30 years, and their store is located in the B.F. Myers Mercantile built in 1884. There are three levels, and shoppers will find an assortment of quality antiques of all periods. Furniture, antique accents, primitives, garden items, Coca-Cola collectibles, old tools, farm collectibles and mantiques, small collectibles, lighting and so much more is awaiting you at Tara’s! Next door is Quilter’s Attic, and they have a great selection of fabrics and supplies for quilt makers. Next to them is a small private antique shop, Antique Corner Mall, that is packed with antique smalls.

Across Main Street is Goodlettsville Antique Mall, and this mall has also been there for decades, but has new owners. They have a large selection of quality antique furniture of varying periods as well as antique accents. Their dealers offer a wide selection of offerings including rustic, mid-century, vintage, primitive and more. They offer paint and painting supplies, and paint classes from basic to advanced.
