Christmas Shopping in Historic Clinton is Worth the Drive

The shop owners in Historic Downtown Clinton, Tenn., have worked hard to get ready for your visit, and look forward to having you shop for special gifts for your loved ones in their charming town. Their Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 9, and they invite you to make it a special day with them. Come and shop in all their downtown antiques and specialty shops, and celebrate Christmas shopping in a big way. They have a variety of eateries, and approximately 30 different shops that will be open and welcoming you with antiques, vintage, uniques, gifts, Christmas décor, repurposed décor, very unique primitives and real antiques. I’m sure you will find several selections to take home, and not just gifts for you loved ones, but also for your own living room or special space in your home.

You’ll find shops such as Clinton Antique Mall, Clinton’s oldest and largest mall; Simple Treasures: antiques, vintage, home décor & gifts; The Shoppe: antiques, fine art, garden & gifts; Granny’s Attic Antiques: antiques and much more; Burrville: antiques, home décor, gifts & candles; Historic Clinton Antiques: antiques, vintage, furniture glassware, metal garden items & more; Fine Things: antiques, décor, and gifts; Antique Vintage Finds: antique, vintage & primitive fines; Hoskins Good Food Restaurant: a drug store and old fashion soda fountain; and Hoskins in the Flats with fresh, living permanent florals. Some other antique shops you’ll want to visit are The Antique Market, Corner Antiques, The Staffordshire Spaniel, Cadence Antiques & Café, Coins and Collectibles, and Samuel Franklin Floral. I know I’ve probably left out a few names of shops downtown, but they will all be excited to see you. There’s many other gift and unique shops, and they’re all preparing for your visit, filling their stores with unique finds and gifts that everyone will enjoy.

Their old fashion annual Clinton Christmas parade will be Saturday afternoon, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. Get there early so you can shop, have lunch and be ready for the Clinton Parade. Streets will be blocked off a little early downtown in preparation for the parade, but there’s always plenty of parking. If you’re coming into Clinton by interstate take Exit 122, or if you go up through Oak Ridge, you’ll travel into Clinton by Oak Ridge Highway/Hwy. 61. All shops are within walking distance, making it easy to shop and enjoy them all, and many are open on Sunday. Find them on Facebook at Historic Downtown Clinton TN Merchant Association, and check their days and hours if you plan to visit during the week.
